Copywriting from Sunfish - the story

I became a full-time b2b and subscriptions copywriter in 1996, when I set up my own copywriting agency, Sunfish. Before that, I worked in marketing for 12 years within the business information industry.

I started work at Euromonitor, an international research publisher and marketing consultancy, in 1986 as a Marketing Assistant.

When I left to set up as an independent copywriter, I had been Marketing Director for six years.

My experience as a client myself means you receive not only excellent copy and design, but also first-class service and advice.

Sunfish copywriting clients are mainly large organisations in the private sector. They include leading companies in business information, publishing, new media, conferences, benchmarking and best practice, professional services, financial services and consumer goods.

I am a lifetime Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing.

This way of working allows us to offer you a complete creative package without the inflated prices traditional agencies charge you. Ross is a talented designer and typographer with over 25 years’ experience. He handles all design work for Sunfish clients at his studio in Watlington, Oxfordshire.

In 2003, Jo Maslen joined Sunfish as commercial director and our second copywriter. Jo has an economics degree and has held senior marketing roles for blue-chip companies including Premier Brands, Jacob's Bakery, Thresher, Disney Channel and Sky.

In addition to copywriting, Jo offers marketing project management, and advice on employee brand engagement and internal communications.
